Today in class we were given a claim and our job was to create an argument that supports it, disagrees, and one that comes to a compromise. My claim was, “Black people don’t tip”. It was pretty easy to write the paragraphs because this is such a broad statement that it’s easy to go against it, but the same can’t be said for the supportive paragraph. I just think this claim is stereotypical, and as soon as say a group as a whole does something, it immediately loses credibility. That’s why when I created my compromise paragraph I stated that black people are more like to tip less than other ethnicities. I did learn that black people on average tip less than other ethnicities, so the claim was wrong, but there’s some truth behind it, kind of. Overall this lesson was pretty fun, I should’ve looked through the other prompts more thoroughly , but I did see one about anime’s enjoyability that also could’ve been interesting to write on.

I did a lot of things over Spring Break and comparing it to last year's Spring Break, I would say it was better. The first couple days of Spring Break I just stayed in the house and played video games with my friends. My friends and I also went to see the new Godzilla and King Kong movie. It was pretty good, I would rate it a 8 out of 10, the fights are what really made the movie, but the comedy was also good. On Wednesday I went to Miami with my dad and that was probably the highlight of my break.  I flew on a plane for the second time in my life and that was a fun experience as well. In Miami, we visited a lot of restaurants and the food was amazing. My favorite dish was definitely the blueberry pancakes I had. I didn’t get to finish them nor did I bring them with me, that’s probably my biggest regret over the break. We also went to the beach, but I didn’t go fully into the water because I just didn’t want to. We also walked around South Beach and shopped. I got back home...
