 Today in class we continued presenting our projects for the Sorrow of War. I had to present today and I wish I could change a few songs out, like Marijuana by Kid Cudi for Pornography by The Cure, I feel like that song would fit more with the tone and theme of the book since Kien and his platoon weren’t actually smoking weed, but just getting high off a plant. Whereas Pornography has graphic lyrics that could be associated with war and things of that nature. I really should work on my presentation skills, but I don’t know why I get so stiff when I have to present. I think if I had some of my friends in the class it wouldn’t be so nerve racking. But overall I’m proud I got to show my amazing music taste with the class and I’ve probably could’ve added 20 or so songs to go with the book if I had to. I really enjoyed doing this project and even know my presentation wasn’t that great I still didn’t mind it because I like music so much. I also liked listening to the other music my classmates put because I feel like you get to see a bit of someone’s personality based of the music they listen to. I really have to start doing my blogs more after class while it’s fresh so I can just write off the dome.
